A great deal of thought and consideration was put into the writing of the policies and procedures. We understand you may have questions or concerns as you read over the information. Please contact us if necessary, we are happy to visit with you. Thank you for your support of Math Around the Corner.
Please check all the boxes to acknowledge the policy. Thank you. Please be sure your student is prepared with assignments, homework, and/or study topics, at the beginning of his/her session. This will maximize productivity and guide your student into the most helpful session possible. Please arrive 5 minutes prior to the session start time. Our tutors will make sure your student’s session starts on time. All sessions are 60 minutes. If you are late, your session will still end at the designated time. Please ensure your student is putting forth the effort needed to improve his or her grades. We are not responsible for a lack of progress if your student is not attending the weekly scheduled sessions and applying him/herself during the session. Math Around the Corner (MAC) students are committed to weekly sessions. They may work on current assignments, get ahead, or review during tutoring sessions. Doing so results in success.
Our tutors are all part-time employees working in the evenings to accommodate our MAC students and their schedules. The majority of our tutors are TCU students, who are busy with college classes themselves. They enjoy working with your student and serving as a mentor as well. However, the tutors set their availability at the beginning of the year and we match students with them based on a time that is convenient for both. This allows your student to have the same tutor each week to allow for consistency and knowledge of your student’s needs. Please check all the boxes to acknowledge each policy. Thank you. Your student will be assigned the same day and time each week for their tutoring session. This reserved session is your student’s time for the semester. We do not require a registration fee. If your child becomes ill and cannot make their session, please contact Math Around the Corner as soon as possible to reschedule their tutoring session.
If your tutor is unavailable, due to unforeseen circumstances, Math Around the Corner will choose another tutor that will work well with your student at his/her regularly scheduled time. All no-show/missed appointments will result in a full charge for that session. Please understand, Math Around the Corner is contractually obligated to pay our tutors even if your student does not show up to his/her regularly scheduled time. If it is necessary to change your regular assigned day and time, you must give us notice 7 days prior. Due to the tutor’s schedule, we cannot guarantee your regularly assigned tutor. If your student would like an additional session, please login to your account with Math Around the Corner and request a session. Once confirmed, an email will be sent to the parents verifying the new session.
Please check all the boxes to acknowledge the policy. Thank you. We require your bank or credit card information to be on file. Invoices for the upcoming month will be sent before the 1 st day of the following month. Drafts will be made from the payment method you provided. Use of a credit card will be an additional 3% of your total due. THERE IS NOT CHARGE FOR A BANK DRAFT. Once you set up your payment information, you do not have to do anything to pay your bill. Please check the box below to acknowledge this policy. Thank you. The business of Math Around the Corner (MAC) began with the individual tutoring services of its founder, Carol Bearden. The quality of her services and the increased demand for quality tutoring services have led to significant growth in the business of MAC over the last twelve (12) years. The success and growth of MAC in large measure has been made possible by MAC’s use of third-party individual tutors, without which MAC could not satisfy the demand for quality tutoring services for its student clientele.
The tutors utilized by MAC are employed by MAC with the tutors’ understanding and contractual obligation not to provide tutoring services to the student clientele of MAC outside the schedule agreed upon between MAC and each student. MAC tutors are also contractually obligated to MAC not to provide tutoring services to any MAC student for a period of two (2) years after the last tutoring session by each MAC student with any MAC tutor and after the tutor ceases to
provide tutoring services for MAC to any MAC student. By utilizing the tutors provided by MAC, you and your student have agreed and are contractually
obligated to refrain (a) from any effort to use any MAC tutor outside the student’s tutoring schedule with MAC and (b) from utilizing the services of any MAC tutor for a period of two (2) years after the last tutoring session with any MAC tutor, as well as after the MAC tutor ceases to provide tutoring services to any MAC student. The foregoing obligations relate to your student’s MAC tutor(s) and any other MAC tutor, whether a tutor for your student or not.
